Toby J’s Art is a family owned-and-operated Furniture & Gallery. The shop consists of Toby Johnson, his wife Dawn, his daughter Nichole, and their son-in-laws Derrick & Justin. Their establishment has grown to be known not only for the talent that Toby has been blessed with but also for the custom log furniture, sustainable wood products & chainsaw sculptures they produce. All wood used in our furniture is kiln dried to ensure structural integrity. Our skip peeled furniture is made with logs hand peeled using a draw knife to remove the bark. After the furniture is built each piece is sealed with a sand-able sealer, then a water based varnish is applied to preserve the natural beauty of the wood.
Toby J’s Art offers a full line of sustainable wood products, log furniture, chainsaw carvings, and home decor. We obtain logs that have been removed locally, let the slabs sit and cure, after which they are kiln dried. Finally the slabs are ready to be used to build our beautiful "Sustainable" wood products. Our log furniture is made from many different kinds of wood. Lodge Pole Pine,Alder, Juniper, Redwood, and Black Walnut. We use reclaimed lumber and trees that have been harvested due to land management and urban tree removal. |
